Swollen belly button help

Hey guys do my 1 and a half year old has had a swollen belly button and the hydrocortisone cream and the antibiotic (mupirocin) cream didn’t work and now it’s over a month she’s constantly going at it it obviously feels funny to her. Took her back to the docotr I have to take her for a sonogram to make sure there’s no cysts, mass, or Hernia behind her belly button. I’m so nervous and I have to wait til end of December. She also has been super itchy down there and constantly at it so they gave me a fungal cream for that. Is it possible she transferred soemthing from there to her belly button since she’s always going at both?? I’m thinking maybe I’ll put a little fungal cream on her belly button as well. Has anybody ever dealt with this?

Have you tried limiting breast milk in it? At the very least that will help with the itching ♥️ Good luck!

Thank you guys so much! Unfortunately I don’t have any breast milk 😩 I’m hoping it’s just a skin thing and nothing else is going on :/

Yea it most likely is Hun. Ask your pediatrician if you can put some manuka honey. My SIL didn't have any breast milk either so she replaced it with the honey!
