on the verge of homelessness

I’m 25 weeks pregnant now. A little backstory I’m an immigrant with some unresolved issues. When I discovered that I was pregnant, given what I just stated above, me barely able to provide for myself much less for my child so I decided to have an abortion which the person responsible was very much in support of because he has a child and other responsibilities he stated and also a desire to be married before having more children. I, on the other hand, also have that same desire knew I didn’t want any now but having fallen pregnant, had convictions about having an actual abortion being that I have never gotten pregnant before. I mustered the courage to abort finally, but it failed, weeks later during a follow-up abortion. Yes and for context they were pills I took at home( it was said to be a safe procedure able to be done at home). Following what had previously happened, I decided I would keep the baby. This did not sit well with the person responsible, leaving me as a result to deal with it on my own. Did I mention that I live with family... Okay and right before was living with the person responsible but because of our differences before the pregnancy I left. Now, my uncle has said he is unable to accommodate me anymore exactly because of my pregnancy basically leaving me with nowhere to go. Especially given that I have immigration issues I am unable to legally work or rent a place of my own under my name. Grateful for platforms such as this to be vulnerable and transparent. Any advice on what I can do..thanks for reading.

I agree with the above. I feel really sorry that you are in this position...I hope someone will help you. It's so hartless that even your own family can't support you in this situation. I hope the baby will be healthy and you will enjoy being a mum.

It can be hard because a lot of resources you do need valid ID and such, social security card and proof of residency, etc. I would search for local resources that can provide shelter. If you could join a local Moms Helping Moms group, it might help you find some stuff. Someone might even be willing to take you in. Babysitting can be paid under the table as well if you're able to do that.

I know this is a difficult question, but have you considered giving the baby up for adoption? If you really truly didn't want to be a mom and can't reasonably care for the baby, you might be able to surrender them. It's something to consider. You could even pursue an open adoption so they'd be able to see you later in life if they wanted. It's heartbreaking to even consider, but I think it would be reasonable. It's okay whatever you decide. We're here for you ❤️

let’s not give out the advice of getting paid under the table. It’s just wrong.
