Hyperemisis Gravidarium
This is a bit of a niche post but I was curious if there are any mamas out there who experienced HG (moderately or severely) during their first or previous pregnancies and if it was better or worse for following pregnancies?
My LG who is my first and only child arrived Sept 2021. I had moderate Hyperemisis for the full 9 months of my pregnancy starting at 5 weeks right up until birth. I was sick almost every day but never to the point I needed to be hospitalised. I struggled through on two types of anti sickness meds which sometimes worked sometimes didn’t.
I would like a second child and we’ve started trying for the second but I feel so anxious about being pregnant again if I’m going to be just as sick.
If anyone has experienced HG and you’ve had multiple children was it better or worse during other pregnancies? Did you find it was better to deal with the second time knowing what it was?

I had it really bad with my first, with the second my sickness eased off at around 14 weeks. My third pregnancy I was practically bed bound because of sickness and feeling weak for weeks. Every pregnancy is completely different x
oh bless you! I feel your pain. I think I’m just getting a general consensus to make myself feel more positive 😅
I had it throughout both my pregnancies from around 6 weeks up until I gave birth. I was sick almost every day and constantly felt sick even when I managed to not throw up.
