Baby screams when pooping or passing gas

My 7 week old has been SCREAMING and crying when she’s pooping or passing gas. Her poop color is changing from yellow to brownish yellow the texture went from thin to slimy and way more seed like things some very small pieces are dark brown and hard. She’s breastfed and it seems like the mylicon drops make it worse despite the dr saying to give her some EVERY feeding! The little I have given her have just made things so much worse :(( I was going to go to the dr as a walk in but my nephew threw the key fob into the toliet and have no way to get another until tonight so maybe I can get her there tomorrow. Does anyone know what to do? I can’t get her to burp most the time but she passes gas just fine.. she also has been sleeping longer than normal at night. also if anyone can point me in the direction of a good diet for breastfeeding mommies? Please help.

I’m hoping your doctor will have some tips, or perhaps something is going on that needs to be treated. I will say that studies have been done and the conclusion is that the mothers diet doesn’t change the babies issues (unless the baby has a food allergy, like to dairy for example). However, anecdotally a lot of women swear certain foods they eat seem to bother their baby. I thought that if something made me a bit gassy, it could make her gassy, and I and (it seems) my daughter have trouble with gas sometimes causing pain. You can massage her tummy in a clockwise direction to help things move along, and also pedal her legs can help. Are you using bottles at all?

Idk if its the same thing as ive been told there are different symptoms than what my daughter had but it may be a safe idea to ask your pediatrician if its an indication for a milk protein allergy. My daughter had blood in her stools at 3 months old. Rushed her to the hospital twice and took them a bit to realize it was the allergy to milk protein. I tried cutting out dairy from my diet as they suggested but it didnt work. So i had to stop breastfeeding unfortunately. It eventually went away and now she can have dairy however she gets the screams and crying and doesnt want to be touched like she is in agony sometimes when she eats too much dairy and she is 2 now. Try to cut back on the dairy and gassy foods for a bit maybe and see if there is a difference?

My boy was like this until I cut out all dairy at 5weeks pp.

not using bottles except every now and again if I can’t get her to latch like when she’s fussy she screams when using the bathroom is what I don’t understand she has done this on and off. Maybe it’s spicy stuff I eat? Or maybe it is too much cheese? If I eat too much of either I do get gassy so if that’s the case and it’s possible maybe that’s the issue is not an allergy but just too much of it?

definitely will try to. I’ve been in a situation where I’ve been eaten sausage egg and cheese croissants everyday and not even thinking about the sausage 🤦🏻‍♀️🥺 were in the process of moving and had been staying with family so I wasn’t able to eat much else that’s really all I had and now I know better and will be eating different.

I would look up infant dyschezia. Especially if their poop is normal. My little girl has it

Did you know this was a thing?

Didn’t know this existed! I’m actually not breastfeeding 2nd time round (though wish I did) after a bad experience with my 1st baby. But this is something I 100% needed 1st time round.

Screeching baby

I have twin boys, 5months.

One is very quiet

The other... is like a pterodactyl who screeches when bored, tired, hungry, as soon as he wake up to be held etc...
This habit has only just started!

Has anyone else experienced this and how long did it last?
So far it has been about 5 days 😭😭😭😭

Circumcision, please help

I know it can be a really sensitive topic, but I feel really underinformed about whether I should choose to circumcise or not if we end up having a boy.
For context: we are very non-religious, but I worry about the stigma of being non-circumcised when he would start to get interested in dating, navigating cleaning it and the risk of infection especially as he gets older and navigating potty training at daycare and stuff. I also worry about the increased risk of penile cancer. But then I also hate the thought of making my baby go through a major surgery unnecessarily and would prefer for them to make the choice when they are older if they choose to get circumcised.

How did you make your choice? Does anyone regret their choice?

Joie Signature Parcel LX lightweight stroller

Has anyone got this stroller? Up until now we have used our mamas and papas ocarro and we love it. However we are going on holiday in June and looking at a lightweight stroller to take with us. I'm not bothered if it fits in overheard locker, I would rather have decent wheels on the stroller and this one does have slightly bigger wheels than most travel strollers we have seen. Has anyone used this stroller abroad or got any other recommendations? TIA x
