Baby constipated and not passing stool

My LO, who will be 6 months in 3 days, has been constipated , taken him to GP, and not much was done, passing stool with stain of little blood yesterday. Stool is hard like rock. Any advice on solid food/ fruits that naturally helps with bowel movements?

I would steer away from foods that contain a lot of iron too. Try prunes, foods high in fiber. And make sure baby is hydrated! Not sure of baby’s age, but pedialite could maybe help?

Pumpkin baby food More water and less milk And tummy rubs clockwise

When my son had this issue, we gave him a prune puree packet (purely prunes is the brand because it's nothing else added) Usually this helps him pretty quickly. You didn't say how old your baby is, but before he was cleared for solids (under 4 months) we would give him pure pear juice (organic, no added sugar or preservatives). This had the same affect. We had to pull back and give him less solids and a formula with lactose because I wasn't pumping breastmilk anymore. We originally had him dairy free but we splurged on a more expensive formula which had cow's milk and he hasn't had these issues often after all these things

Try prunes baby food. My LO gets constipated sometimes and I keep beechnut pear and prunes baby food at home and that works mins after feeding him that.

Prune baby good is great or my pediatrician recommended a little bit of prune juice mixed with a little water. How old is your LO?

@Nico he will be 6 months in three days

@Annika, he's 6 months in 3 days

@Susan then I'd definitely do a tiny bit of prune juice with water! When my first was around a few months, he was super constipated and that's what his pediatrician said to do! I think she said to do 2oz prune juice to equal parts water!

Try prunes and apples anything high in fiber

Thank you, Mamas, I've applied the advice given here, and my LO starts to have normal stool, no more constipation. Feeling relieved 😌

Apparently prunes/ prune juice is meant to be good, haven’t tried it muself

Anything starting with a P usually helps, Prunes, Pumpkin, Plums, Peaches x

The only thing that worked for me was chia seeds (thanks to someone on here suggesting it). I added them to her yogurt and let them soak overnight. Make sure they're getting enough water! 💧💧💧💧

Start giving wheat porridge everyday. Its helpful
