Maternity pay

My employer pays 26 weeks full pay, followed by 13 weeks statuary. So after the 26 weeks will I drop to the 90% full pay for statuary for 6 weeks or will it just be the £178 weekly? Thank you!

It will drop to the £178

And it's £178 or 90% of your weekly earnings whichever is the lower number. So if you wouldn't ordinarily earn as much as £178 a week you'll get 90% of whatever you do earn.

Your employer's maternity leave pay is so good! I'm jealous 😂

Omg, I get 10wks…..

@Donna ah thank you!! Yes it is good but I have to go back for 6 months before I can then hand my notice in and my notice period is 3 months 🤦🏼‍♀️ x

I think that's standard. You have to return to work with them otherwise you have to pay the AMP back 🫠 to be honest though I don't know how anyone affords to not return to work! I'm worrying about how we're going to survive on maternity pay! 🙈

I have this too (not as cushty mat pay, but still very good. W1-13 full pay, 13-39 half pay and then 39-52 no pay) but I have to go back for 6 months.. it’s a pain! But they do a 6 months, part time hours for full time pay! I too feel pretty lucky with the mat pay, I honestly don’t know how some new mums cope with tje atrocious maternity pay 😔😔
