Potting training

My LG often tells us when she’s had a wee or poo but if we ask it she wants to use the potty she always says no but it’s always out so she can see it and I know one day she’ll say yes… With my son (he’s 9) he asked to use it so we went with it, not going to push her as you’ll genuinely know when they’re ready and clearly my LG isn’t yet

We’re letting him take the lead. Talking to him lots about wee wee and poo poo and using the potty (also referring to toilet as potty, so mum and dad also go to potty). We haven’t done anything with nappy off yet as I don’t think he’s quite there but he will ask to go to potty and sit on top of the toilet seat, we ask if it’s wee wee or poo poo and he answers but not sure he quite gets it yet. And he does look like he’s trying to do something but I’m 6 months pregnant and don’t fancy the additional challenge of cleaning up the accidents 😂

@Rosie that’s a good idea! I may start with letting him just sitting on it and talking about it. I wanted to start sooner rather than later as we’re also expecting!
