When to TTC after MMC

I had waited till I tested negative due to high hcg after they told me everything had cleared in my updated 2week check.

I checked with a pregnancy test to test my HCG levels and by 2/3 weeks post D&C they were negative. We waited 2 weeks to have vaginal sex again and started TTC right away. My MMC was caught at what was supposed to be 16 weeks but was just shy of 14. My midwife said we could started trying again immediately. Currently on my first period post miscarriage

Sorry for your loss. 💔 I also waited for the first negative test, but didn’t wait for my cycle to return/post miscarriage period. My MMC was at 12 weeks, baby stopped growing 9-10 week. It took a week or so for my pregnancy test to show as negative post surgery (but I did have two rounds of failed medical management before the surgery), but a couple of weeks for the bleeding to stop entirely. Very lucky to have conceived again immediately.

I pretty much had a negative pregnancy test yesterday. It only showed a super super faint line after a few hours. My HCG levels must be extremely low as it looks like I am due to ovulate on Tuesday which wouldn’t happen if my body still thought I was pregnant. So we started trying again yesterday. This will be 2 weeks after I started naturally miscarrying. I agree, it’s amazing what our body can do within the space of a few weeks. My midwife was pushing me to wait until my first period before trying again but they only recommended that so that if we did fall pregnant immediately then dating the pregnancy would be easier and therefore would cause less worry if we think we are further along than the scan ends up showing. Personally, I feel as long as we have a negative pregnancy test and tracked ovulation that dating should be pretty clear and we didn’t want to wait another cycle to start trying again. I’m so sorry for your loss. Just do what is best for you both x

Thank you for for sharing, I definitely think waiting for a negative test is the right thing to do and gives my body the best chance to start again on a positive note. I’m sorry we have all had to go through this awful tragedy. May we all have our rainbow babies again one day xx

So sorry for your loss 🤍 I waited until I completely stopped bleeding/spotting which was 2 weeks post medical management. But I was still getting positive pregnancy tests until a little over 4 weeks post mc and I finally ovulated after they became negative based on my BBT. I gave up on the ovulation strips and just bd every other day, so hopefully we caught good days. Currently 6 DPO 🙏🏻
