Cleaning ?

Hey girls just wondering how many of you still hoover and do house work while pregnant? I’m 28 weeks and carried the hoover up the stairs, it wasn’t heavy and I didn’t strain, this is my first pregnancy so just wondering if I’m over thinking that I’m doing too much?

I carry on with everything like normal. Also having to carry toddler up and down the stairs all day as she doesn’t like to climb

I did everything as normal until I felt in myself I couldn't do it anymore. When I got to about 36 weeks I had to start slowing down because it all got too much. Just make sure you listen to your body and take breaks when you can x

Still doing everything as normal including hoovering and steaming floors at 36w!

I was wet vaccing carpets the day I went into labour... In hindsight that might have had something to do with my waters breaking 😂 Just listen to your own body. If carrying the hoover upstairs feels too much, don't do it. If it feels fine you're probably fine! Are you having a high risk pregnancy or any reason to avoid physical tasks like that?

Currently 36+4 and still cleaning the house - trying to refresh from Christmas before baby arrives! Do things at your own pace and take breaks if you need to - Rome wasn’t built in a day x

Thank you ladies 😘😘

My husband didn’t let me vacuum but it heirs my back at the best of times so would have been worse when pregnancy. I still did it sneakily sometimes. Everything else I did as normal.

I’d be careful with carrying stuff as my sister is pregnant and recently tore her abdomen muscles from over doing it carrying washing etc. I was fine doing stuff my whole pregnancy but her situation has made me rethink how I’ll be next time and I think I will rest and relax a lot more than I did! x

I was moving my whole living room around by myself while 8 months pregnant 🤣

Allocated hoovering for life to my partner now great decision! Ha makes them feel they are also contributing too

I worked as a domestic assistant at a care home throughout my pregnancy full time up until I went on mat leave. I used hoovers, carpet cleaners, all sorts and was absolutely fine. Obviously don’t overdo it but I’d say you’re absolutely fine! 😊

Yes. I didn’t stop work until 38 weeks. I was climbing round soft play at 6 months at my oldest birthday party. I did suffer from breathlessness so had to be slightly careful.

Depends on the task and my capacity each day. I've been having severe back pain so my partner has taken over most of it.

I did everything too and it was my first

At 35 weeks I was nesting like mad 😂 on my hands and knees hoovering x

I’m 35 weeks tomorrow and try to do as much as I can, if I need the hoover upstairs my partner will carry it for me, but other than that I try and take it slowly while still doing things

I was cleaning the whole house up until the very end. As long as you do it safely

I still hoover and clean my house as normal, I just don't lift heavy things like carrying the hoover upstairs or the heavy washing basket, I get my husband to move things around and I carry on with cleaning just listen to your body I'd you get tired have a rest I am a clean freak but I keep telling myself just to do what I can and if I feel like I need a break then I have one
