Baby Shower Costs 🫣 HELP

Is it just me or has anyone looked through these posts and noticed everyone’s baby shower is under 1k? My food alone is 1k? (Could be because we’re in LA)….. ok…. I’m stressing because we are spending close to 6k on the baby shower and we have no idea how! But, here is our breakdown…. And we have no idea where to make cuts. Our baby shower is in one week on Saturday, January 6th. If we want to make some cuts we would have to do so now!

Venue: $1800.00 (all day rate + gazebo rental)

Event “designer”/coordinator: $2700.00
(she will provide balloon and backdrop design for $500.00, bartending services for $785.00 along with chairs, tables, plates etc included in this price)

Food: $900.00 (70 people)

DJ: $400.00

Desserts: $200.00

Total: 6,000.00

Where can we cut back?? Or rather where should we cut back?? We have 64 people that have RSVP’d. Many have purchased gifts off of our registry. Has anyone went all out with a baby shower like this? Worst part is, it doesn’t even feel like it’s going all out…. I thought these would be the basics…. 🤣🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣
