Baby eczema and weaning

Try feeding with a spoon to check it’s not a contact reaction and try each thing on its own just to check it’s that ingredient that’s causing the reaction 😊 my son had horrible reactions to some things through his skin but is fine eating them

Hi if baby shows allergy to potatoes, he is likely to be allergic to night shades. Has he tried gluten yet? It could be hes alright with oats but oats are contaminated with gluten. Best is to buy gluten free oats and try again

We struggled to start with purely because my daughters skin would react to any food or anything on her hands/face as it just caused her to itch. It might just be the texture or it getting onto his skin. We spoon fed for a while and encouraged cutlery early on where possible. She eventually grew out of that kind of reaction (she's nearly 2) and is generally OK if she picks up food herself now x
