Things to do during maternity leave

What does everyone typically do. I know obviously we’re all looking after our little ones but aside from that? I’d like to start doing more, I’ve booked a baby class but I think I’m only really up for one or two a week. I don’t know how to get out of the house the other days and I don’t really have mum friends here. I’d like to be able to go out more with baby and not feel so cooped up!

I go out on daily walks whether it be in the morning or early afternoon after I get some stuff done around the house. I’m lucky to have met someone on here that lives round the corner from me and we have became really good friends also. The baby class will do you the world of food not only for your baby but for you also ☺️ I went to the newborn baby sensory class in my town and I’m booked for the next term which starts next week!

So we go to a free Rhyme Time class at the local library and I have met a Mum there who lives nearby. I go to a paid for Baby Sensory which me and my boy love. Met another Mum there who is also local. We try to do daily walks even if it’s just 20 minutes for some air. There is also a website called ‘the Mum Club’ which may have a club nearby. It’s free to sign up but they do paid for events, brunch, fitness, at Xmas they did adult only wreath making! Good way to meet other Mums with and without the LOs.

I struggle with going out too. I have twins and find it difficult to leave the house with both of them. I'm happy to grab a coffee or something if you would like to do it. Message me 🙂

You can do something not baby connected like fresh food shopping or other shopping. I like to walk to different shops to buy fresh food, which I would usually not have time for.
