My 5month old is currently using Swaddlers size 8. What comes next. I don't mind switching brands.

Just making sure. 5 month old or 5 year old? Size 8 is for kids over 46 pounds.

Was just gonna ask that to seemed like large size for a 5 month old my 10 month old is only in size 4 pampers hes 20lbs

46lbs or by waist size.

True. We always sized up too earlier that the weight suggestion but it doesn’t hurt to check. Our favorites are Kirkland or Huggies brands.

Pull ups?

Sorry I should have mentioned. He is always been a big boy. Currently on Pamper SWADDLERS size 8, the series for infants. I could never go by the weight. He is currently 21lbs/9.5kgs but fits in size 8. Have always had to go by his waist and thighs.
Are Pull ups my only option?

my daughter is 38lbs and wears parents choice size 7

My 5 month old is in size 5, 23 pounds

My twins are a year old one is in a size 2 one is in a size 3 one is 17 pounds the other is 20 pounds

I use pampers 360 cruisers. My son sizes up early too but I find the waist band in the cruisers fit him better. He’s got room in the legs but the waist is form fitting/stretchy enough we don’t have very many leaks.

thank you. That was really helpful.

Also, am I supposed to be worried or question the growth of my child?🤔

I realize a ton of comments are unhelpful, including mine but I’m just super relieved there are others with giant babes lol!

Thank you Meggan! 😁This boy has a big butt. And the reason I have to size up all the time is that the leg cuffs of the diaper leave red marks on his groins. I have not faced any leaks so far which helps me know the size is right.
Most of the comments are definitely unhelpful and funny.

My boy always sized up super early too because of his chunky thighs and butt, always had a red mark on his groin or hip and I started to get scared we would run into this problem! I just wanted to give you some hope that once your boy starts walking he'll most likely size down a couple sizes as they tend to slim down around that time. No advice for right no except try different brands to see if another brand fits better in the same size so you don't have to size up. Also in severe cases I've heard of people using xs adult diapers

Have you tried other brands? I find that each brand fits different body types differently! My daughter fits one brand where as it doesn’t fit my son the same. I found huggies work well on my boys. My son is 9 months and 20.4 lbs wearing size 4 huggies with room to grow. Definitely has thick thighs and they don’t cause any marks! I would just give some other brands a try in smaller sizes possibly. Maybe go by the chart. I know walmart will take diapers back if they aren’t the right ones! I hope that was helpful at all! ( I like the huggies with the winnie the pooh on it) forget the specific name!

I have found pampers to fit snugly. Always preferred kirkland or huggies

really appreciate the comment. Thank you

thanks Tay

@Justine I will try that Justine. Thank you

Hahahaha, as the doctors say, he is one robust boy. Naah naah, Eventually they lose the weight.

Although, I am on part elimination communication. Hopefully that will turn into full EC soon.

Yup, all prepared. This runs in both, my husband's and my genetics. Chubby chunks as babies and then slim as toddlers. 😁
