Any other momma have a babe with high bilirubin? She’s 6 days old today and when she was 4 days we had to go to the hospital to get photo therapy cause she was super jaundice, after 12 hours we got discharged and got it checked today and it went down (thank goodness) everyone I’ve asked said it’s super common and will continue to go away but as a first time mom, it freaked me out!! Just wondering if any other mommas have experienced this.

Our daughter had jaundice when born and had to have blue light therapy for a day. She started to get it again once we'd left the hospital but after increasing her intake of breast milk she was fine. It is really common and usually clears up with no issues.

Yes, this was our son as well. We had to stay an extra day and a half in the hospital because it, but he is completely healthy and happy now. It was scary at first, but we were reassured that this is relatively common.

Yes, mine did, as well. They basically said it was no big deal. Told me to hold her in the window for some indirect sunlight for a little while every day. She was fine by the time they tested again.

Yes my boy was put to nicu his was caused by blood he’s having anemia test at the moment he was in nicu for a good few days his was really really high the levels was. Just keep feeding on demand and it’ll flush it out

thank you all<3 helpful to hear everyone’s stories

A lot of babies are born with a mild to severe case of jaundice. It helps them to be exposed to sunlight for as much time as possible, indirectly or directly.

My daughter was born at 37 weeks and had bad jaundice. She had about 36h of light therapy and I didn’t take her home from the hospital because of it for about 4 days
