Diaper rash remedies!!

If you don't see improvement within three days of consistent at-home treatment, or you notice what could be signs of severe diaper rash, call your baby's doctor or a nurse line right away. This is especially important if your baby has a fever of 100.4° Fahrenheit or more.

Baking soda baths are also a good trick to tackle a stubborn diaper rash. For those babies still using an infant tub, add 2 tablespoons of baking soda to warm bath water. Soak baby's bottom for 5-10 minutes once or twice a day.

A lot of nappy free time if you can will help air her little bottom out.

hello! Yes she start pooping yesterday and today I start noticing the diaper rash, I did called my nurse today and she suggested me to put breast milk on the affected area. She has no fever or any other side effects but I got told to keep an eye on her too.

Use lots of olive oil. It works

I’ve found that Aquaphor then Desitin has worked best for our babe when she gets diaper rashes. The diaper rash cream alone doesn’t seem to do it when it gets bad. And just airing the area out a bit during diaper changes.

Zincofax diaper cream really helps. Don’t use anything scented and maybe try switching to a new diaper brand. Rascal and friends diapers is really good

Worked within the first 2 uses

Go without a diaper. Lay some paper on the ground where she plays and put a garbage bag on top...or you can even lay puppy pads on the ground.

I’d start washing her with water at every single diaper change, poop or not. Completely stop using any wipes for now until it goes away.

Seconding Desitin as a zinc based cream. Has a higher content of zinc compared to Penaten and sudocream.

Sorry you and little are having a tough time. From my experience and suggestions combined works great. What I've found for myself is mixing the two together (Aqua + Dest) in my fingers, then slathering it on thick and wiping the remainder directly on to the diaper worked like a dream... Especially overnight. My guys rashes after solid intros was a journey. Please let us know how little is doing after trying one or all suggestions listed.

I sprinkle cornstarch on just before I put on their diaper

Not sure if CA has it but in US we have “Butt Paste”. It’s a red tube bottle and it works wonders overnight. Also started using liniment oil cream on a daily basis which helps a ton.

Make sure their bum is completely dry after wiping, put on a 40% zinc oxide diaper rash cream, I like the burt's bees one as it is very thick. Then put on top Vaseline. That is what we do when we see it start

I would go and get her a medicated rash cream from your family doctor.

If you have a Pharmasave near you. Ask them if they sell Eptico. This cream is a miracle. My daughter used to have terrible diaper rash, and this cream save her ass, literally.

I love this stuff. It helps my son a lot. Sudocreme is almost just as good

When all diaper creams failed for us, petroleum jelly and baking soda were the saving grace.

Hello everybody thank you all for the suggestions! We use desitin and Vaseline since the day she was born, idk if maybe that’s why isn’t working for us, I’m not sure. We been having diaper free time in between changes and everything, I stop using wipes as well and just washing it, I been putting breastmilk since yesterday so today she feels better and it looks better too! So hopefully it keeps up like that🫶🏻🫶🏻

I was also going to add you can give Tylenol for her pain management too if it's affecting her sleep and stuff. If it doesn't clear up soon you should get a prescription cream. 🫶

I'm not sure what kind of diaper cream you have tried, but as others have suggested you definitely want a Zinc based one. In my experience they don't all work as well, and I swear by Penaten

Definitely try a stronger cream and see a doctor if it gets worse, but I have found the quickest way to help things get better is to ditch the diaper for a few hours a day and wrap in a towel instead.

Penaten in the tin! My daughter had it so bad once she blistered. The nurse told me to slather her in diaper cream… like icing on a cake.. so we can’t see her skin. We did that and it went away and she’s never had it again because of this product!

Use a cream when she naps or sleeps. Powder during the day.
Diaper rash should generally be kept clean and dry. Especially if it's gotten to skin loss/bleeding.
If there is a lot of pooping, after cleaning it up softly, bathe her in luke warm water to properly wash. Then gently pat dry and lay her on a big blanket and towels with no Diaper for a bit.
Use baby powder.

Try Baby Butz! Our pediatrician recommended it to us as it's natural. Baby had it pretty bad and it's now gone after a week of use.

Diaper free time, zinc then aquaphor over. Once healed then just aquaphor. Works like a charm
