So I know my 7 week old has CMPA, I know it because I have it too and we have the same symptoms after consuming dairy. I rang my GO yesterday and his word were ‘I know nothing about feeding speak to your HV’ leaving the doctors pretty deflated I rang the HV and she said ‘the doctor needs to prescribe it’ so I explained what he said then she said ‘just breast feed him’ 🥺 I told her that since he was 2 weeks he’s been on formula and breast because he lost loads of wait on just booby milk (mostly formula, breast for comfort) and she said ‘eat 3 meals and drink lots of water, give it a week if it hasn’t worked ring the doctors and ask them to prescribe dairy free milk. Now I can not go a week of either seeing my baby starve, loose weight on just my breast milk or another week of them screaming in pain, having diarrhoea or constipation and a rash that won’t go with creams! So I rang the go practice and said the HV said I could I have the milk can a doctor prescribe it. The formula should be ready to be picked up today

I’d just go back again or go to the walk in centre! I had to keep going back again and again for them to listen to me about my little girl x
It’s just so wrong! Our poor little babies shouldn’t have to be in pain 🥺

Request a female GP for your next appointment. Hopefully she will have more compassion than male GP and that awful HV

Go back again request a different GP and literally demand it tell them you aren't leaving until it's prescribed

You need to ask to see another doctor! Everything for this should be done through them. They prescribe the milk, refer you to the dietician etc. that is awful.
