Feeling scared

Everyone keeps freaking me out because they are saying that if you experience certain things labor is closed I’m 34w3d and I have severe pelvic pain and some cramping and tightening. People say that have gotten that early and it’s been weeks before birth. I just don’t want to go early.

Stress is only going to make it worse. You're probably having Braxton Hicks. Start timing how long they are and how far apart. It's unlikely you're in labor, but please call your OB if you have concerns. Pelvic pain and Braxton Hicks are normal in the third trimester. Yes, it means you're nearing labor, but it doesn't mean anytime soon. Take a deep breath!

I went to the hospital a couple days ago because I was feeling pressure the ob told me to go and all was good. I think it’s just me freaking out thinking I’m so close.

A bit of antepartum anxiety is also normal. If it becomes overwhelming fears, please tell your OB so they can give you some meds to calm. It's normal at this stage to feel swollen, more open, some pressure, as well as some light cramping. Download an app for contraction timing. Seeing how irregular they are may help you feel better

thank you any app suggestions? I wouldn’t even know how to go about using one lol

your going to think I’m stupid lol but idk how to use it I’m really only getting tightening so do I time how long it’s tight for if that makes sense?

Avatar

That's exactly right. So start when the tightening starts, then stop when you gives up. Keep repeating. BTW you're not stupid, you're a first time mom and you're doing fantastic!

I am 35 weeks and have the same thing. It doesn’t have a pattern, increase in frequency or intensity over time, and usually goes away if I stand up and walk around a bit. I experienced it with my first, too, and he came right on his due date.

I know you saw hospital for pressure, but I would def schedule with your ob for the cramping. Just to be safe.

SPPH (secondary postpartum haemorrhage) due to retained placenta -D&C?

Looking to see if anyone else has experienced this? Currently trying to pass retained tissue ( 4 weeks pp) and finding every day so exhausting just constantly waiting and checking my bleeding. I stopped bleeding on week 2.5/3 then bleeding picked up last Saturday and I haemorrhaged on Thursday morning with a rush to hospital. Everyday since I’m waking up scared I’ll be bleeding out. Worried to go toilet to check, I’m not convinced I’ll be passing it naturally and I’m worried I’ll need a D&C… has anyone had this? My retained tissue is 2cm so they said it’s small but I have no signs of passing it or blood changing colour to show slowing down.

39 weeks pregnant FTM

39 weeks baby hasn’t come yet and I am just full of anxiety. I am trying to relax. I am trying to chill, but I can’t chill. I do not want to be induced. I would love to have her natural. Issue is I am tight down there and petite and baby is measuring big like the head especially. I know that measurements can be off. But I have photos! And she is a chunk. This is so unpredictable. How do I just put my faith forward and trust in God and how do I let go of this anxiety? I am doing fine and then boom it hits me and I want to ball my eyes out. I am trying to treat myself and do little things but driving or doing anything is so hard now and I’m so huge and uncomfortable …I’m at my breaking point 😭

So ready for second trimester 🥲

I really really hate the first trimester. It’s exhausting, no appetite, not enough hours to get the amount of sleep I need, headaches, smell sensitivity, and overall just feeling like crap! And I don’t want to announce anything until 14 weeks since I’ve had losses before, and it’s getting really hard to hide it from my friends. Two more weeks to go….

Just needed to vent to others who understand!
