My 3 week old has been spitting up after every feed.
Im just worried and want to take him to ER but my husband is reluctant about it
How do I know how much spitting is normal or does babies spitup every time they feed.
We do burp him constantly and will keep him upright for 30 mins every time we feed him. He use slow flow nipples bottle only

Does it seem to be bothering him at all? It doesn’t hurt to meet with your pediatrician just in case!
My little girlie is 9 weeks old and has reflux, she throws up after every feed and for hours after. But have a google into posseting, it’s really common for babies to spit up when there is too much for their tummy
@McKenna Im not sure if its bothering him or not. He doesn't cry after spitting it out but definitely he is spitting because of reflex
Not crying is a happy spitter and usually they will say to use an anti reflux medication or milk. I wouldn't go to an ER but call your doctor and schedule and appointment to go over how his weight gain is going and other things that can help with reflux.

Some reflux is normal as long as they're gaining weight. Some hospitals will let you just come in for a weigh-in instead of waiting for an appointment as well or going to the ER. Trust your gut though and get something on the books. You know your baby best.
My sister-in-law trusted her gut about my nephew's reflux, took him in for a weigh, and he was losing weight. They ended up finding a blockage and he needed surgery, but it was pretty routine and he's been fine ever since, eats like a champ and has gained and grown soooo much. It'll be okay. Weight is definitely a big indicator though.
Whether bottle or bfding, burp . And may be if bottle feeding then try pace feeding and burp. Reduce the amount oz ? When he has feed and after an hour or so is still awake give some little massage.
If concern check with Gp/Hv.
I didn’t bottle feed much but when I gave express milk, overfeeding would lead to this spitting.
Unless he’s unsettled by it or isn’t gaining weight, it’s likely normal and nothing to worry about. My first had reflux and would spit up a lot after every feed but he gained weight fine and wasn’t upset. He fully grew out of it around the 1 year mark x
