Breastfeeding and alcohol

Depends on how much you drank. If you had 1-2 standard drinks, you don’t need to wait at all. If you’re binge drinking, you want to wait until you feel sober again, or you can also count about 2-3 hours per drink. There are charts online that can give you an estimate of how long based on how much you had. But if you’re just having one or two, no need to wait or pump and dump at all

No need to wait, as long as you’re confident to hold baby you’ll be fine. The amount passed on is negligible. The only thing to be careful of is co-sleeping. Best to avoid if you’ve had any alcohol.
