Hi Moms sorry for the long post but I really need help! any one can advise from your experience if stopping breastfeeding can help the baby eczema to clear up? I am asking because yesterday my LO 8 months she had allergic reaction to what I ate and it was the sea bass and we went to the babies A&E and they advised to stop breastfeeding her for few hours and gave her formula.. so I gave her formula but she vomited two types and the third type worked.. after that night her body was clear from the eczema for few hours and after I started feeding her breast milk the eczema flare up today so badly and what I ate yesterday was pizza with cheese and I had yogurt too!
So the GPs didn’t advise me anything till now and I had referral to the paediatric dermatologist since she born but now I started thinking to give the formula a try or cut down all the diary for my diet which also the GPs didn’t recommend! But my baby is constantly suffering from eczema and it’s not clearing at all.. and ofc Steroids is not helping too neither the anti histamine!

Try switching your milk for goats milk.
You should know within a couple of days if she is lactose intolerant. In which case you going lactose free is likely to be cheaper than special formula.

I was advised to stop eating Dairy - Will take a few months for any symptoms in bubba to subside but after 24hrs traces of dairy should be out of your milk supply.
Goats milk has the same proteins as cows milk so I was advised it’s not actually any better for them.
If you wanted to go down the formula route, they would need to recommend you with one specifically for babies with Dairy protein intolerances

@Jessica the goats milk was advised for me for eczema. And is saftey milk for my lactose intolerant freinds.
Which is not to say you are in any way wrong.
Lactose is a sugar. Of which there is less in goats milk.
Casien allergy can cause hives as well, which I didn't know until I looked up milk protein allergy.
If a person switches to oat or nut milk it is much harder to keep their calcium levels healthy.
Humans typically process goat milk much easier than cows. And subsequently, the human milk alters.
I will say that in adults and small children it takes days for eczema to react to change in milk and hours with digestive intolerance.
