Accrued holiday and returning to work

On my return to work I’m planning on changing from full time to part time hours.

I will have accrued roughly 6 weeks holiday and not planning on using it all before I return as have about 3 months left of the holiday year.

Does anyone know if I leave 2 weeks holiday to use before the holiday year resets will that mean I have 10 days to use or will have 6 days to use (working 3 days a week instead of 5 when I left)

It dosnt matter how many days you work a week they just donit weekly at my place so just means I have less weeks as I work less hours of that makes sense? So I would ask your work as they may have a different policy x

I think it usually depends how your company process holidays to how you’ll be paid i.e if it’s your hours reducing over the number of days but you’re still working 5 days/ number of days you’re reducing but still working an 8 hour day if that makes sense.
If you’ve accrued 10 days you’ve already ‘earned’ them and therefore you should still have 10 days to take. Any holidays between when you return and the end of the holiday year will be pro-rated depending on number of days worked. If you’re still working 5 days but reducing your hours, your pay will likely be reduced to reflect it. Worth checking in with you ER/HR department as it’ll depend on what you’re changing x

Sorry just re-read your post - you should have 10 days holiday and then whatever your yearly holiday allowance is will be accrued at 60% of your entitlement for the remainder of the holiday year x

Thanks both! Returning to work is giving me more to think about than I imagined, thought it would be say a date and that’s it and then spend the time worrying about leaving our babies 😂
