Help - sleeping issue

Has anyone had the issue at 4 months where their baby would only sleep in your arms. We have tried everything. Please let me know any experiences like this. When will it end lol.

This is what the 4 month regression looks like for us right now 😂 we’re getting a little better! It’s been a month and he’s finally sleeping in his bassinet more (:

Yeah naps are contact naps or in car- she sleeps in her bedside bassinet at night but up 2-3 times to eat now 😭

My LO has always been a great sleep, in bassinet and in crib. Once the 4 month regression hit, for us it looked like her waking up once at night(normally sleeps through the night). That stopped and then quickly transitioned into fighting bedtime horribly. We discovered it was closer to separation anxiety, as soon as we left the room she would freak out, and as soon as we walked back in it was fine. Unfortunately, it got to the point that we had to let her cry it out, as nothing was working. It was a miserable hour or so for me, but since then she has been doing great. We also put her down awake but drowsy, we no longer rock her to sleep, she self soothes to sleep. Best of luck Mama!

I’ve been going through the same with my 5 month old boy. Most of the time I don’t mind bc I’m a SAHM but sometimes I just wish he would sleep without me holding him. We do contact maps in his room, lights off and curtains drawn. I’ll try every now and then to set him down but he wakes up and gives this wtf look lol. A friend of mine said her boy contact napped but that started going away for her around 6 months. I’m hoping my boy is the same🤞🏾

Me lol my son only wants to contact nap. Went thru a period of not going down for bedtime and if I did manage to get him down, he’d only stay asleep 3 hours. Hoping he grows out of contact sleeping soon because it’s definitely overwhelming now

Ours will be 5 months on 1/22 and she mostly contact naps unless she is super tired then I can put her down in crib. We still have her in bassinet at night so she’s been fine other than waking up about 30-45 minutes earlier in the morning. I’m waiting until 6 months to see if her naps develop and to let her get acclimated to her room and crib before starting any formal sleep training.

Does anybody else’s baby also wake up immediately when you set them in the crib for bedtime?

YEP almost everytime 😂 we learned to swaddle (he HATES it but this works), sooth, give a bottle, gentle burp, and he’ll stay asleep most of the time 😂

Not the most popular opinion but if you feel comfortable cosleeping that made a world of a difference for us and resulted in better sleep all around
