We just found out we were pregnant last week and than last night I tested positive for covid.
I've already called my Dr's office and left a message. My symptoms are pretty mild... runny nose, sneezing, and cough.
Any suggestions? How did anyone else do with this? Any issues with pregnancy?
I'm just anxious over this, we have tried over a year to get pregnant, and now this.

Never had covid with my pregnancies so I'm not sure

I had Covid in my 2nd trimester with my first, her and I both were completely okay, they just had me take my blood pressure and temp and blood oxygen every day. They also had me taking a baby aspirin, just take a breath and talk to the doctor!

why would you comment then lol

I had Covid my second trimester in August 2023. It was awlful but of course we couldn’t take much medicine.. do ginger drink and tea, Tylenol only when you need it .. my headaches were unbearable . Use heating pad for body aches . The doc prescribed baby aspirin also

because I can ??

I had it in my second trimester a year ago. I tried to stay as hydrated as possible but I mostly slept it off and used Tylenol when it was really necessary. Aside from the common symptoms you described I also had really bad headaches and body aches with fever and chills. With mild symptoms I wouldn’t worry. Take care of yourself and feel better soon 🫶🏻

I had Covid in my first trimester and all is fine, I’m in my third trimester now. It was awful though since I had morning sickness on top of having Covid but you will get through it! I just meds whenever my fever got concerning but other than that just rested.

@Tess my Dr's nurse didn't say anything about baby aspirin. Is that suppose to help prevent blood clots?

@Mirra thank you! Trying not to take any medication unless I absolutely have too.

@Melissa thank you so much! I'm trying to stay very hydrated. I have a headache today but I'm more tired than anything.

@Kia thank you so much! This message helps me not worry as much! I'm glad you are doing well.

I think you’ll be ok! I’ve had a few friend who unfortunately got covid while they were pregnant. Not fun but they weren’t in any danger :).

yes I am not a fan of medicine at all, but only did the Tylenol because I was in much pain and headaches were getting worse . The baby aspirin yes was to prevent blood clots

@Mirra I'm surprised my Dr's nurse didn't suggest baby aspirin but I'm so early maybe that's why. I completely understand needing to take something to help. I took a benadryl the other day because my nose wouldn't stop running.

yes! It was to help prevent blood clots. They might not find it necessary anymore, I’m not sure. My experience was back in May 2021 so they might have changed the recommendations since then

@Tess that makes sense. My symptoms were considered mild and this morning I was negative for covid. Hoping for a healthy pregnancy and that I hear a strong heartbeat at my first sonogram.

hoping for that for you too! Hope you have a beautiful pregnancy!
