How has everyone’s little ones been after their injections? My nurse told me he wouldn’t get a fever from these ones and wouldn’t need any medicine🤦♀️ I give him medicine for bed at around half 7 and he came down with a fever at 9 been to hospital but was told it was just the injections. He’s still got the fever and it’s never went down using paracetamol and ibuprofen he’s due another dose at 5 but that will be his 6th dose in 24hours just concerned as normally the temperature would come down after medicine. He also hasn’t got his appetite and he had a really bad sleep last night. 🥺

What is his temperature? If it is too high for his age and calpol
Isn’t bringing it down I would call 111 x

Yeah I'd call your gp or 111 if medicine isn't bringing it down, but they still can get them from the jabs, not all babes will or do but soke can, we did (but she did get a virus the same time). It's a natural immune response xx

His temperature at the highest has been 39 but it did drop to 38.6 and now he’s been stuck at 37.7 since about 7am this morning he’s had medicine but just doesn’t seem to be bringing it down. He’s hot to touch but his hands and feet are absolutely freezing.

37.7 is a minor one (classed as a fever from 38 usually) I'd maybe see how he goes unless he's feeling rotten too. Any reaction at any of the sites lovely? Rash etc (although a measles like rash around a week after is common too so that's a whole other thing 😅 we didn't get it thankfully). He may have caught something that's come out the same time too which is a nightmare I know xx

No there’s no other reactions just the temperature and abit twisty and off his food a little just wants to snack rather than a meal. He had them all in his legs and they are red and swollen but I expected that. Think the nurse just threw me off when she said he wouldn’t need calpol and wouldn’t get a fever 🤦♀️ she told me about the rash knowing my luck he will get one, feels like we have been in and out of hospital since the winter came.🤦♀️ I do think he’s acting strange with his stomach but the dr last night didn’t see anything wrong with it, but he’s bringing his knees up to his stomach all the time and like clenching in and he keeps blowing it right out and sucking it right in which to me isnt normal. xx

His temperatures back up to 38.4 just had 5ml ibuprofen hopefully this time works🥺🤞x

We had same problem after jabs we took him hospital as temperature shoot up to 40 and turns out he had infection where needle broke into skin. They gave him antibiotics and his temperature back to normal for 2 days now.first I didn’t pay attention his legs as they said they would be swollen but they turned like bruised and he didn’t want to crawl and stand up.

Just to add his temperature would only a bit go down by ibuprofen as it was infected.

oh no poor baby! It’s awful. He finally has no temperature put him to bed he fell asleep for about half an hour and now constantly screaming/crying and nothing is settling him. I have noticed one of his legs is more swollen than the other and they have red marks which he’s never had before but we had the worse nurse yesterday who is always rough with injections x

Hi my little one had his jabs today and this evening he’s literally like passing in and out of sleep, he has a little bit of temperature but he seems to be extremely shaking (like he’s shivering almost) and his hands and feet are freezing. He had ibuprofen at 7pm and it seems to be wearing off him very quickly. Just wondering if this is normal or should I take him to A&E?

i would say sleepy and temperature is normal after but if he’s shaking and stuff I would ring 111 just for peace of mind and see what they say. x

That’s strange My nurse said they will probably get a fever. You’re doing all the right things. How are they today?

sorry I only just saw this, I think our nurse gave us the wrong information. He had the fever for a full two days with no break, but he’s all good now back to his normal self☺️x
