HCA prenatal class offerings

Hey!

I’m due with my first in April, we are delivering at OP Regional, and the HCA Midwest hospital systems offers a few classes to prepare for the coming life changes.

We are signed up for the childbirth one, because my husband is a worrier- it’s his love language and it’s been amplified to an amusing level now that I’m pregnant. 🥴

I do not know how he will handle childbirth, but I think a class is necessary because he’s so analytical. Hahah.

But, I noticed they have a 4th trimester class focusing on mom and baby’s needs — and I was curious if anyone had taken that class? What kind of things are they preaching. I’m assuming not co-sleeping but also not cry it out?
There are just so many different styles and possibilities, I think a good layer of base information would be good, but I’m afraid of what might be harped on.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ladies!!!

I also delivered at OPR and had an amazing experience. I took all their classes but didn’t see the 4th trimester! I do not recommend the breastfeeding one…that was not a great experience for me at least. The nurse teaching essentially said if you’re not nursing and use bottles you’re not doing a good job. The rest of the classes were awesome!

thanks! I was curious about their breastfeeding program as well, definitely hoping to be successful at it!

But, that I could take with a grain of salt. Will probably check it out since it’s free lol

agreed!!! It was good information, overall!! I’d also recommend a lactation consultant. I can recommend one if you’d like, just message me!
