I think you have to leave a minimum of 2 weeks between scans - the places I went privately make you tick the box saying you’ve left this amount of time between any other private or nhs scan. I went for an early 6week scan, 10 week, then I had my nhs 12 week and 20. I went for a 5D scan as well around 28 then I had 4 weekly growth scans starting at 32 weeks. Honestly by like the 4th/5th one it loses its magic I feel. Go for an early and then one again before 12 week but I’d play it by ear after your 20 week one. Definitely get a 4d/5d one around 30 weeks and then you never know you might be offered growth scans

We had our first baby boy in October 2023 and first scan we had was private and I loved my experience so much as was so detailed and felt so relaxed and special and we booked date as my husband was in army at time (cost us £60). You can buy packages but on NHS you get 20 week scan anyways so up to you what you want but pictures may be similar if so close together? Check out private packages and shop about/check reviews. Mine was First Glimpse (Shawlands, Glasgow) highly recommend. Maternity photoshoot highly recommend- again shop about as can be pricey (I got my hair and make up done before and bought a dress I loved). Baby shower I had mine at my sisters house and was great fun. You know what you want, its so exciting and fun but yes shop about till your happy with price etc (even if it's 1 photo you get). I went to Premier photography in Hamilton and they were brilliant. Xx

I don’t think a scan every 2/3 weeks is worth the money every now and again yeah but not every 2/3 weeks I agree with your husband on that one but if it’s what you want to do then go for it x
