I gave birth there I like it . I got a nurse who was so helpful I was in and out of the maternity unit all my pregnancy I ended up having my son at 32 weeks . Their nicu unit is good . They let me stay in the parent suit so I wouldn’t have to go home i thought that was amazing . I would definitely recommend. The only thing is parking isn’t free . And if people are coming to visit while your in active labor you have to tell them go to to the emergency side . Not the main hospital entrance it’s easier since the maternity side is by the emergency entrance

I went there after my home birth and the nurses in the L&D ward are very sweet. Camille and Sam were super gentle with my son while they were taking care of the both of us. I had to stay 48 hours due to possible postpartum preclampsyia (I was fine just stressed) they made sure we were comfortable and even brought extra food plates for my partner. ^ parking is NOT free so make sure you have $8 in cash or you have a debit/credit card handy.

I would highly recommend having your birth plan with you or an advocate just in case there are things you don't want done. Or just know your rights and stand firm on certain things. There's 1 head nurse who can be super pushy. She's tall and blonde you'll know exactly who I'm talking about when if you happen to meet her.

No but i will be giving birth at Garfield hospital
