What to wear under 2.5 tog gro bag?

Currently wondering if little one is warm enough during the night. Room temp is usually around 18 degrees. I have tried to get it warmer but no matter how much I turn up the thermostat the gro egg says 18 or max 18.5 recently with the colder nights. We have also only recently switched to sleeping bags - had been using cellular blankets before we moved her into the next to me.

The gro bag guide says just to wear a long sleeve vest under the 2.5 tog sleep bag for 18-20 degrees but even her head and chest still feel a little cooler when she wakes up not cold but not warm.

I've checked other temp charts and they all say just a long sleeve vest - just wondering what other people are doing and if you're finding the same thing?

Don't want to overheat because of SIDS risk but equally don't want her too cold and have no idea how to properly gauge this.

I use the Tommee tippee swaddle bag (arms out) and have her in a long sleeved vest underneath. Our bedroom averages 19-20 at night x

my room is 20 when we go to bed but obviously when heating goes off it can get down to 16 and they always say dress them for the temp it can get too. we’ve just recently started using a 2.5! tog bag but also a long sleeve vest and baby grow. i check his temp at every wake up and it’s always lovely xx

My little one will wear a long sleeved vest and a baby grow underneath the tommee tippee gro bag 2.5 tog, he has his arms out.
My room is usually about 20 on a night but drops to 16, our bedroom is above the garage and although it’s 16 on the gro egg, it feels colder in our room than the rest of the house. When I check the when he is up for feeds, he’s always okay temp wise. Although I will worry when this colder weather comes in my area we are supposed to be having x

We used to wear a vest , sleep suit and 2.5 tog sleeping bag. My room is normally 12 degrees so I’ve purchased a heater to heat the room half hour before going to bed and a 3.5 tog sleeping bag.

I don’t think you need to heat your room as the recommended temperature is between 16-20 degrees so it looks like you’re spot on with the room temp.
Trust me (from experience) babies will let you know if they’re cold and a good indication is also how well they sleep. If they’re constantly waking. That may be a sign they’re chilly.
I also have a huge fear of SIDS but just remember your baby will tell you if something is wrong but it sounds like you’re doing a great job 🥰x

Our bedroom is always around 19 degrees and our baby sleeps in a short sleeve vest, babygrow and 2.5 grobag. He’s always nice and toasty but never hot! Sometimes if our room drops below 18, which has happened once recently, I’ve got a cellular blanket I throw single layered (so not folded) over the top of him and that seems to work fine. He wakes twice in the night for milk so I always check his back and chest to make sure he’s not too hot or cold. I very rarely go by what the guidelines say since I’ve got two very cold babies (my eldest is currently in 18 degree room with short sleeve vest, long sleeve pjs, 2.5tog sleepsuit and his quilt over the top and he’s always perfect too xx

Our bedrooms is between 17 and 20 and our little girl is in just a sleepsuit and a grobag xx

Our room is between 16 and 18; we use a long sleeve vest plus 2.5 tog grobag. I check him at each feed (twice), sometimes more if I wake at other times, and he’s always a good temperature.

If the forecast cold weather arrives we will add a sleepsuit, but depending on how he is might change the long sleeve vest for a short sleeve.
