Getting hubby onside with hynobirthing?

Hello lovely ladies! 🌞 Last week hubby and I found out that we’re about 4 weeks pregnant. It’s our first so everything is new for us. We’ve been trying for a few months, so I’ve already read up on hypnobirthing and decided this is the best approach for me and baby. Hubby however, doesn’t know much about it. He’s still at that stage where he thinks it’s not scientific and it’s some weird, hippy stuff that could potentially put baby in danger. Completely understandable cos I also had no idea before I properly looked into it myself! Did anyone else have to educate their husband/boyfriend and eventually win them over? If so, any tips would be welcome! P.S. I read Siobhan Miller’s book and have another to go. And I became obsessed with positive birth story videos a few months back! 😂 So I’m still educating myself lol

I done with my husband the free hypnobirth masterclass, before joined the full course. Laura explained very well what is it and was what convinced him fully 😊

@Michela sounds great, thank you!

Hey Ropa, I love how informed you are already, reading positive birth stories is a great thing to do from the very start of your pregnancy! 🙌 it’s very normal that partners can need a little extra convincing - mine definitely did!! The key I find is getting them to listen to the science part and then they realise it’s not hippy at all and everything else clicks into place. As lovely Michela said, the free class I run can be a great way to get partners on board! My next free online class is this Thursday if you want to come along ☺️ www.riseandglowbirths.com/free
