Calpol and calcough

Hi! My toddler is currently refusing to take calpol and calcough, to the extent that when he finally has some in his mouth he will spit it out. He has been feverish and with a cough the past few days so I can’t put it off as he’s been crying due to his fever. I have read that these can be mixed in food but I wanted to check with others if anyone has tried this and in case you have what food did you use?

Thank you xx

You could mix it with a yogurt if he likes them.

My little one won't take any medicine. I mixed it with her weetabix the other day and she ate it. Or maybe try mixing it with some yoghurt

Is it any yoghurt that you used because he normally has the petit filous, or shall I get him some plain Greek yoghurt?

Avatar

@Margaret just syringe it into the little petit filous. He shouldn't notice too much of a difference and the flavour will mask anything

Avatar

Thank you I will try doing that 💓

Syringe it under the tongue and in the corner

Thank you so much, the yoghurt truck worked xx

My little boy used to hate taking it, so I used to give him a bit at a time then put his dummy in so he couldn't spit it out
