Steroids for Arthritis whilst Pregnant
Has anyone taken steroids for Arthritis whilst pregnant?
I haven't been on any meds for RA throughout my pregnancy so far (I'm nearly 32 weeks) but I'm having the mother of all flare ups and my consultant wants to put me back on biologics as well as a course of steroid tablets.
Has anyone else taken steroids for Rheumatoid Arthritis during pregnancy?

I've been on that too and it's wonderful, although not currently taking it. I'm due to start uo again soon. I've never had pain this bad with it. It's so hard to even get through the day and the nights are even worse 😞
I feel your pain 🥺. They’ve told me it’ll be another two weeks as the company which used to deliver biologics to me has discontinued Cimzia. Only found out as I rang to chase. I can’t start it soon enough. Sending love xx

Im not sure about steroid tablets but I’m going to have an injection of steroids asap in some joints, I’ve been putting it off but my consultant obstetrician says it will not effect pregnancy at all and it will stay in the location of the injection. Also restarting biologics (Cimzia which has actually been tested on pregnant women and doesn’t pass through the placenta). X
