Will it feel like i’m a single mom?

Hi ladies,

Was anyone here married with a young child/toddler when your husband started his piloting school?

My husband has started ground school but will be fully submerging himself once we move to CA in March. He will simultaneously be working full time (he’s already in the aviation industry). And because he wants to finish the program aggressively, I imagine that I may feel like a single mom, working full time, and taking care of the home.

So, I thought I’d come here to see if anyone may have had a similar situation? I would love to connect with someone who can help me see a light at the end of the tunnel (if there is one lol).

I know my husband would drop everything to support if it were me, so I really want to support him in this.

So yea, anyone with a similar lifestyle/perspective would be great to connect with!

Thank you and very happy to have found this group!

Mikal

Hello my husband actually started his schooling before we had our baby, but he started with an airline one month after he was born. There are definitely some challenges and a lot of the time I do feel like a single parent, but when he is home it is wonderful and when he is gone I just live my life and do what I want. I never thought this would be a life I would be able to handle but we are now 4 months in and getting into a good rhythm. Just hang in there!! In my opinion getting him through school is definitely the hardest part of it all.
