Bank holidays accrued whilst on maternity leave

I’m taking mine when I go back to essentially extend my Mat leave, as I technically haven’t accrued them until I’m off and they happen if that makes sense… I’d check that out as that’s not what my HR said x

I’m taking mine as holiday when I return to work as you can’t be paid for them (when the bank holiday happens) you’d only be paid for them if you left your job x

My maternity ends tomorrow but I don’t go back to work until March 4th due to accrued annual leave! I was told I had to take it immediately after my maternity ended or use it all within 3 months of returning (which seemed quite impossible as it’s a month’s worth)! I also get a whole years allowance when you start back (so I have Jan-Dec allowance even tho I don’t go back until March) x

I had to take all my leave and bank holidays before my mat leave started, which meant I was off work from April. I'd much rather have used it after mat leave but wasn't allowed. I guess each company could have their own policy on this x

My bank holidays that I accrued just went into the holiday that I have accrued for the year (my holiday year is July-June). My work prefer you to take any accrued holiday before you return as it’s easier to manage cover.

With the holidays my official return to work date is 11th March but I have annual leave until 3rd April then taking a days holiday a week until the end of the holiday year to use it up.

No my accrued days can be taken when I return to work but before the end of the tax year I think x

I get paid for mine?! I wanted them as additional AL but was told this wasn’t allowed & I would be paid them when my maternity finishes!

This is taken from the ACAS website : You still accrue (build up) your usual holiday entitlement while you're on maternity leave. This includes bank holidays.
You cannot take holiday or get holiday pay while on maternity leave. But you can arrange with your employer for you to take it before or after maternity leave
