It sounds silly, but you could always take a skin safe marker and outline it to track that the mark isn't getting bigger. Then your eyes won't trick you and make you worry more

My baby just got his shots yesterday and his leg feels swollen and hard at the injection spot. He seems fine. His normal happy self.

I think Crayola markers are non toxic
The hard spot is probably because they tensed their leg up a ton. That's what I was told at least
