Getting induced at 38 weeks

I think the dr is important but I also think a leap year birthday would be very unique.... everyone has their own opinions on that tho

Remember, if you get induced on that day, you might not have the baby to the following day also

We are going to be induced on Feb 29th and are very excited about it. I find it very unique and amazing!

My baby is actually due Feb 29th but I'm hoping for at least March 1st so we can all have March birthdays lol. Even if she was born a leapling (that's what they call them! So cute!) We would just celebrate her non leap year birthdays on March 1st. I have a relative that celebrates his on the 28th though.

Inductions can last longer than a day so keep that in mind as you schedule it. If they have you come in on the 29th it could be the 1st or even later that you give birth

I agree having the dr is the more important thing but I also thought about a leap day baby and I think it would be fun! Its extra special and a much more rare birthday. Plus you still usually just celebrate on march 1 anyway. My daughter was summer solstice, so I thought it would be funny if my son was leap day and they both got a special day.

You could also plan a super big special birthday when leap days come around and the others could be normal celebrations. But then it would feel super special those years

that is our plan! Every 4 years we go big! Thinking as she gets older she can pick a trip to take every 4 years and other years do a regular bday party on the 28th or 1st!
