Baby porridge

What baby porridge does people recommend? I’m thinking of starting this for breakfasts as of Monday with my little boy. I’ve seen the Heinz porridges in tins. Was going to try these? They are mixed with water though. I assumed you’d mix with milk? Any advice is appreciated

I mixed 2 tablespoons yesterday with 50ml breastmilk (slightly warmed). He had quite a bit. I tried it just before that final milk feed in an attempt to get him to sleep longer and he did actually go 1 extra hour before the next wakeup at midnight!

I just give my boy normal porridge oats I get for myself. That way I'm not buying extra. If to large for baby you could blend it up slightly so the oats more smaller. X

Any 100% natural oat that is powdery/pulverised. I have a thermomix and pulverised some normal oats with that.

I went to a weaning class about a month ago and they said from 6 months, don’t bother with the packet ones from the baby aisle because they’re full of extra stuff, just get the big packets from the cereal aisle that are like £1 and make it with your babies usual milk, because it’s the same original ingredients. I’ve used Kendamil baby rice (which is good) until now but going to go onto proper porridge after he turns 6 months next week

Normal porridge blended up or Ready Brek
