Swimming classes

Hiya! I’ve been wanting to get my little one back into swimming lessons. But no club has prices advertised let alone know the quality of their lessons is like. Where does your little one attend (or has attended)? Is it good and how much is it?
I’m based in Sale so anywhere in the surrounding areas.

Thank you xxx

We used to do waterbabies (we picked Pictor Academy in Timperley as that’s what was available on a Sunday). They charged £20 a lesson.

We started when my son was 3 months old, and continued until he was 1yo (with a break for summer). I felt like they were good and very caring, the lessons were fun, with songs and splashing, doing safety things and guided underwater swimming, and some babies in our group really thrived. But my son never cared about it much, he was not kicking the water or engaging, just let himself be floated around for half an hour 😄 Then he developed a temporary water phobia when he turned one, which made things very difficult, as he would scream from the moment we pulled in the parking lot.

Water wobbles are common and the staff will guide you through them, but since my son never really loved the pool even when he was fine with water, we decided to try other weekend activities instead. (And his water phobia was finally resolved after about 2.5 months)

I'd recommend Turtle Tots at the Marriott in Hale Barns. Small classes and a great teacher.
