I’ve been curious about this too! My babe will be 2 months in 3 days and eats for 15 sometimes 20 minutes during the day and around 10/12 minutes during the night.
currently feeding my LO, 2 weeks old and we’re going on 40 minutes right now lol and often too
Nursed both my boys till 14 months. My eldest loved a long slow feed 45 mins - 1 hours 15mins. Youngest was a speed feeder and was always done 15-20 mins. X
Our lactation consultant recommended max 15 mins each side, totaling 30, but also said sometimes they’ll just want a snack and do 5-6 mins on one side and then reject any further milk. Also as they get more accustomed to the breastfeeding process they’ll take less time to consume, so you may see the length of feeds moving in waves. Longer times in the first few weeks, then as they improve in their skills maybe 6-8 mins per side, then their stomach grows and the time will go back up, until they get more proficient and the time will go back down. She also mentioned they may cluster feed before bed and then sleep a longer first stretch in the night, and then smaller feeds during the sleeping hours. My babe is 5 weeks today and has done pretty much all of that to a T so far. Time will tell if that will remain true as she gets older.
No idea, it differs each time !
My girl is 7m and we breast fed for 7 to 9 minutes
4 months old - 5 -7 minutes is the norm. If she's hungry she'll do the other side for usually 3-4 minutes. Occasionally we have a 10-15 minute feed but usually she's asleep for half of that and just still sucking!
He’ll be 4 months next week and he’s always fed between half an hour to an hour I would say now most of time it’s around 20/30 minutes
He’ll be 4M on Saturday and 30 min max
