I had my first daughter December 23rd 2023 at 34 weeks. We spent 15 days in the Nicu. Since coming home I have lost all attachment and feeling towards my 4 year old dog. I picked that dog out the day she was born. I treated her like my child. I loved her so much. But now I can’t stand her. I am completely detached. Is it normal to get PPD towards animals?
You just have a child that’s a little more important than your fur baby, you’ll come back around. I’ve never experienced this but I hated my kids father for a while and it went away lmao eventually! You’ll love your dog again you just gotta find a lil balance emotionally
