Sweep
Hey! My January baby is nearly going to be a Feb baby but just after some advice or see if anyone else has had a similar experience. I had a sweep this morning which caused a bloody show a few hours after, I’ve had mild period like pains all day since in my back and top of my legs but it doesn’t seem to be getting any worse. Did this happen to anyone else and how soon after did labour properly start… I’m only 40+1 but very impatient 🤣 thanks x x

Hey, I’ve had 3 sweeps in total😂🙃 I had my first at 39+3 and lost my mucus plug at 39+4, my second sweep at 40+3 and had my bloody show at 40+4! I had the odd day of irregular contractions for an hour or so and then that stopped. My 3rd sweep was yesterday at 41 weeks and today my waters broke.
Hopefully it’s not too much of a wait for you! Have you had any lightening pains at all?x
Oh my god 3!!!! I do not want to go through it again so I’m hoping this one does its job 🤣 ahhh happy for you that your waters have broke best of luck with everything! Yes to the lightning pain I’ve had that for around the last 2 weeks x
I had period like pains for a good 14 hours before it progressed, get some rest if you can just incase ! My waters didn’t break until very late approx 8cm so don’t wait for that either, good luck x

I found that my lightening got worse on Sunday to the point I could barely walk, I had no “typical” symptoms before my waters went, fingers crossed you don’t go much later xx
