How are you ladies laying? On your side?

I heard it’s bad to lay on your back it increases the chances of still birth and the blood flow to the baby is reduced .. have anyone else heard this? Because my doctors sure didn’t inform me.

My doctor mentioned that once I’m 20 weeks I shouldn’t lay on my back. She said that closer to the date she would remind me again but it’s around week 20.

Generally the advice is after the first trimester don't lay on your back because it can reduce blood flow/oxygen to the baby.

I'm 14 weeks and my chiropractor is the one that actually mentioned not sleeping on my back. Also said laying on right side could cause swelling in right foot later in pregnancy. But I've tried and there is no way I can sleep on only my left side all night.

@Alex Girl who can..? Pregnant or not! Hahah I've read/been told either side but left is better.. no belly, and limit back sleeping. I was also told if something is wrong your body will tell you to move? So.. there's that 😂

I laid on my left only during my first. With my second and third, I slept however I wanted, but tried to preference the left (but didn’t really happen).

Left side is the best for blood flow

I try so hard to stay on my left side as much as I can but sometimes I end up on my back, no matter how much I try! Don’t beat yourself up about it.

Left, right, back, front—however I can find comfort. Later on I’ll try to avoid back

I have a pregnancy pillow and I still rotate front right, back, left side. All through the night😅 I’m about to be 18 weeks. I just can’t stay one way. Also even if I’m on my side to begin with I’ll wake up on my back

Currently I’m moving around a lot trying to be comfortable so every possible way. Sometimes I can tell my breathing is being affected so move right away, but otherwise I just try to limit it.

I asked my doctor last week and she said it doesn’t matter as long as I feel okay, not waking up dizzy or trouble breathing. I’m a side sleeper anyway so it’s not a big deal but if I wasn’t I’d try to and not worry too much about it.
