Is anyone else getting heart palpitations? I seem to be getting them every night now - not sure if it’s a cause for concern or not!?
Any advice or ladies in a similar boat?

I had the same and caught me off guard because no one had really mentioned its a thing but asked a few people I know with kids and they all said they got them in pregnancy as well! So I wasn't worried and now they've stopped at 21 weeks

Yea same as Kim. They have now stopped, 21 weeks tomorrow and haven’t had them for a few days. That being said if you are concerned of course seek help and do mention it to the midwife

Thanks ladies! Been having them for a few weeks on and off but this past week just feels like it’s every day!! I’m 20+4 now so nearly at 21 weeks! Got a scan next week so will mention!

Yeah really randomly even if I'm sat down

I am nearly 23 weeks and have been getting it quite alot the past 2 weeks.

Same here!!!!! I was even sent to a cardiologist for a 24h holder monitor and echo.

I had this and told my midwife, she said it’s common for it to happen when you’re trying to relax so often happens in the evening and when you lay down. As long as it doesn’t last for more than a few minutes at a time, it’s quite normal. Wouldn’t hurt to mention it to your midwife so they can keep an eye on it for you.

It can be normal but always best to discuss with midwife or Gp. It could be dehydration, low iron or something underlying exasperated by pregnancy or nothing at all! I’m a midwife myself and if women mention this (it is quite common) I always book them in with an obstetrician and or GP and normally an ecg is ordered to be extra safe! I bet it’s nothing but always best to be on the safe side!

Yep, me too!

Oh I’m glad it’s not just me. Last night I felt like my heart was skipping beats too. Maybe I need to drink more water my midwife is organising this for me too! I hope it goes ok I’m so worried

@Nilam there is nothing to worry about!
