Does a cool mist humidifier make the room cold?

Feel like I’ve just made a big mistake. I bought the Vicks cool mist humidifier but have only just realised I should’ve bought the warm one.

The tip of my nose feels very cold which isn’t too great for this weather. I was told that the warm and cold don’t change the temperature of the room although I think it does after testing it for the first time today.

Has anyone else noticed this when using a cool mist humidifier?

Ours does a little bit now that we have it by our head, but I actually prefer it, as the dry hot air from our heaters is what has been causing rebound dry boogies and nasal congestion for both of us. You didn’t make a mistake! It will help the congestion in the end ❤️

I should clarify, I don’t think it makes the whole room cold, just the area around it (ideally around your head) which is what it is designed to do to combat the congestion!
