Hi, I am a TA in the UK currently on a 1 years contract (Sept-July) I have recently found out I am pregnant and I am due in August. Will I be entitled to any sort of SMP? I am finding quite mixed information online. Any help appreciated!!

Hey, I had the same issue at my school as I was also on a temp contract. You should be entitled to SMP as you're working. It's best to get in contact with your schools HR person as they'll know more. Do you know if they'll extend your contract?
@Sarah i would have had my contract renewed had I not gotten pregnant. I've contacted HR so will wait to hear on Monday, although promising to hear I should be entitled still! Thank you!! X
