How did you fill a birthing pool at home?

Hi everyone!
For those of you who had water birth at home, how did you fill the pool!!?
I plan on renting a pool from my midwife, but I am curious about some of the different ways to fill it. I’m sensitive to temperature, so would only enjoy it if it’s very warm.
My fiancé says he can run the hose from outside through one of the windows… then boil water to make it warm.. but that sounds like a lot of work!

How did you do it? Looking for ideas.

Hiya, we used a tap adaptor and then a hose on our kitchen tap so the water was at the right temperature 😊x

We used an adapter to run a hose from our shower and used pots on the stove for backup

an adapter? I’m about to Google it. Is this something I can just buy at home depot or any home improvement store? Or even Amazon?!

Thank you both so much for the help!

Just realized we don’t have an average sink. These won’t work 😞 our faucet has a sprayer, so nothing can screw onto it.
Ugh! Well, thanks anyway!!!

we used an adapter and filled it with our shower and about once an hour heated it back up with a few pots of hot water from the stovetop

I just remember my husband obsessing about it when I really just wanted him to hold my hand, lol. Still a bit of a sore spot. Don't know what he did, but the temp was nice. Hahha

haha. Oh no! Well mine started thinking about it early. Our sink faucet has a built in sprayer, but others have said to use a shower adapter, which seems like the best way. I know me and if it’s not the right temp, I won’t go in or enjoy it. I’d hate for him to go through all that work for no reason. Hopefully everything else went well for you!

He was kind of irritating that whole birth actually, at one point he started complaining that I was squshing him, and I thought I would actually throttle him if I had any extra energy. Lol. Otherwise the birth went great.
He was much better for my second. Haha

Don't feel bad if you don't want to use it though, you might not want to in the moment. I loved laboring in the tub for both of my kids, but I always wanted to get out before actually giving birth for some reason. Gotta follow your instincts if the moment.

My midwife gave us a hose that connects to the washer hookups

We had a hose and adapter that connected to the shower (unscrew the shower head first, then screw on the adapter and hose.) Joke was on me though bc baby showed up before my husband could fill the pool 😂
