Cervical shortening
I went in for my 22 week scan (high risk bc I delivered my son at 25 weeks in 22 for no apparent reason) and my cervix has shortened to 25.3 and they suggested vag progesterone. Has anyone seen good results from using it? Similar situations?
I found out at 26+0 that I was 5cm dilated and 80% effaced. I wish I would’ve found out earlier that something was wrong but none of my previous ultrasounds indicated anything. I actually had one of the longest cervixes my dr had seen 😅 now I’ve been in the hospital for 3 weeks now 🙃 But progesterone helps keep contractions at bay which can cause dilation. So I hope it helps but is there a reason they didn’t do a clercage? Drs will usually do it up to 24 weeks
