Does anyone have any recommendation’s to clear up eczema? I took my daughter to gp as she has dry skin patches on her arms and he just said it’s baby eczema and to just keep moisturising it with a moisturiser of my choice 🧐

I use dermol 500 on my own dry skin and my GP said it was fine for this to also be used on babies and it’s working a treat at the min.
I have it prescribed however if drs are being funny you can buy from pharmacies online without a prescription 😊

My little one was prescribed moisturiser. He didn’t get on with the first one and is now using aproderm. His body is so much better but we have never got on top of his face. Now we are in hospital awaiting iv antibiotics as he has a skin infection as a result 😔.
I hope you find something that helps.

Following as my little one has excema too! The doctor prescribed a cream for his face that has steroids and it clears instantly but then using normal creams I’ve tried soo many and nothing works. Went back to the doctors and the doctor has prescribed to use epaderm. Haven’t tried it yet, so can let you know how it goes

oh no sorry to hear that! Hope it clears up soon

I’m not sure whether to go back
Or not, it’s pretty bad on her arm and her wrist and some on her legs too but he didn’t even suggest about prescribing anything! He just that it was normal and to constantly moisturise 🙄

We use the aveeno emoliant cream and that’s helped our little boy as he has a little bit on his chest but every case is different x

we initial moisturised with aveeno baby but he had a reaction to that which was why cream was prescribed. He reacts to all shop bought creams. Other than the moisturiser our doctors wouldn’t treat the eczema as he is under 4 months and they cannot officially diagnose it before then. However, my little one has a staphylococcus infection with classic eczema appearance so now they have confirmed it. Maybe try the cream for a week then see your doctor or health visitor if no better. Make sure you moisturise at least twice daily.

My baby uses bioderma products both moisturizer and oil based body wash. It really helped. These products are eczema association canada approved products.

My gp prescribed 1% hydrocortisone and it cleared in 2-3 days
