Greenish/yellow eye discharge

Hey! My 1 year old has been sick for the last week or so, but yesterday when we woke up and his eyes were crusted over to the point he couldn't open them but once cleaned we could see that his eyes were clear, no sign of redness. Throughout the day he did still have discharge but nothing super drastic, then this morning was similar to yesterday but not as much. Is it possible it's just a clogged tear duct or possibly due to being sick?? He has had pink eye before and it looks nothing like it, but daycare is recommending we get him checked. Please no judgement 🫣

My little boy was like this last week and it was conjunctivitis so had antibiotic eye drops for the week and all cleared. Worth getting checked they are picking up all sorts at the minute x

Sounds like conjunctivitis. Most places won't prescribe anything till the age of 2. Clean the eyes with cotton wool and cooled boiled water, new piece of cotton wool for each wipe. My LGs cleared up in about a week
