Well my husband helped me out a lot and I was prescribed some medication for pain relief. Just find a position that’s more comfortable for you which is usually laying on your back and get yourself a bunch of pillows to elevate if need be also don’t forget to move around with help so you don’t form any clots… Also try to get help as much as possible so you can focus on recovering…

Make sure you have stool softners and try to poop. You don't want to get constipated. Alternate acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Showering often help

Follow the 5,5,5 rule

Take easy and relax I took care my daughter alone and 2 months and perfectly fine I didn’t bend I kicked stuff .I used my band . I ate healthy and slept when my daughter did . Congratulations hope you have fast recovery

Get up and move as much as possible is my go to with any surgery. Shower when u can sleep when u can take pain meds ( over the counter) heating pad also works for uterus. I slept on the couch for 2weeks and that helped a ton.

what’s the 5,5,5 rule? I’m
Preparing for a CS next week.

did you put the heating pad in the same olace as the insison ?

what’s that rule?

Set a timer or have someone remind you to take your pain meds :)
You will feel better!

i have tylenol over the counter , prescription motrin & oxy. i just don’t like taking the oxy bc it knocks me out . im also on amoxicillin because my insion is infected

Yeah just take the Tylenol with Motrin

Keep moving. Feels counter intuitive but it will help. Don't stay in bed, get up and wash and move. I didn't leave my house for the first 6 days. Take a stool softener which will massively help when it's time to poo

Keep on top of the meds
Get moving!! This is the main one.
Stand up straight (slowly) when you get up so not walking around hunched, the last thing you need is a bad back on top of everything (talking from experience!)
Stool softeners so pooing isn’t a scary experience
Drink loads of water
Rest and don’t overdo it even if you think you are feeling ‘better’

Abdominal binder and making sure to get up every so often. Also doing your best to empty your bladder every hour or so. The extra pressure makes it more painful

Hi there , C-section moma here too, here are a few things that helped me for recovery when I struggled:
1. Learn how to properly get out of bed so that you don’t have to strain with your scar (check out this video)
https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPR3AkhyK/
2. Abdominal binder (you can get one from Amazon but check with your doctor first)
3. Use a pillow to press against your stomach if you have to cough or sneeze
4. Get looser or bigger underwear that can stretch so that they don’t press against your stomach when you sleep
5. Use pillows or whatever you can to prop yourself up when sleeping
Hope this helps 💛

Rest. X x

Walk, walk, walk! Even if it's for 5 mins. It'll strengthen the muscles around the tissue. Within 2 weeks, I felt so much better.

the 2 days i’ve done a lot of walking as much as i could handle and it honestly does help a ton! it’s alreayd just a tiny bit easier to get up out of bed

Wear a belly band!! I wore mine even to sleep the first few weeks and it helped!

I struggled to get in and out of bed for the first few weeks so slept on the sofa. I used a dressing gown belt tied round the coffee table to help me pull myself up. A friend also suggested a child’s foot stool to get in and out of bed.
Wishing you a speedy recovery but please do rest- I look back now and did too much. X
