Skin

Hey mommas wondering if anyone can help with this. I clean my baby’s neck & behind his ears basically every diaper change because I keep seeing this (picture attached). What can I do? Gonna see the doctor in a few weeks because it doesn’t seem to irritate him too much but it looks concerning.

Things I’ve tried: keeping the area clean & dry, baby powder, rash cream, baby ointment, & coco butter.

UPDATE: we bought the cream polysporin & it has been working wonders 😊!

I user polyporne to heal it. Then after when you finish cleaning the area use diaper cream to keep it dry. That seem to help. As my daughter got older and was able to hold her head better she didn't get them anymore

We had this and turns out it was fungal. Doctor recommended getting the over the counter fungal cream and applying it at night (clotrimazole 0.1%). Worked like a charm, only needed two nights!

After I just used aquafor as a barrier to keep the drool from settling, until he got better at holding his head up.

Definitely try to see a doctor sooner. Try to get one for early next week. You can try putting breastmilk on it if you are breastfeeding.

I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you !

@Aziza🇨🇦 no problem and I've forgot my dr said over counter fungal cream works to. But it does have steroids just like hydrocortisone cream.

this happens to my son often. I just apply aquaphor or petroleum jelly and it helps it not crack. they get very dry back there
